Leeds based band, who have little interest in dull peers and stupid audiences. Their influences range from Cindytalk, early Cocteau Twins, The Birthday Party, Xmal Deutschland and Nico through to Sarah Kane, The Red Army Faction, JG Ballard, the Vorticists, Man Ray and David Wojnarowicz.

Better late to the party than never. How did I miss this band? It's a great blend of The Cure during their 'a forest' period and alternative rock. The first track Grandview plunges you into an ocean of psychodelic guitars and rythmic drums and like a siren lures you into the depths. A very accomplished album and although I wouldn't categorize it as Gothic it captures the early spirit of that dusty genre better than most contemporary bands nowadays.

I first heard John Peel play XMAL back in '83 in the UK and I saw them live in Madrid in 1984, - have been a fan ever since. I never expected to have them on my BC ap, and so glad they're here. Hopefully the albums will appear here too - if the later record labels allow.
